Basic Re-tube: $25 plus cost of tubes
- Includes bias adjustment, cleaning/re-tensioning of tube sockets, and output power test.
- Hunt Amplification will install tubes from other vendors, but will not guarantee them against failures or microphonics (all tubes purchased from Hunt Amplification are warranted for 30 days).
Premium Re-tube: $50 plus cost of tubes
Hunt Amplification re-tube philosophy:
No two amps are exactly alike, and the same goes for tubes. A preamp tube that deadens the tone of one Twin Reverb might sound glorious in the next! Experimentation is key to finding the right set for any given amp.
A premium re-tube at Hunt Amplification means that together we audition a slew of different tubes in your amp until we find a complement that brings out your desired tone.
If time is an issue, I will audition the tubes myself, though four ears are better than two. Want a darker tone with a little more crunch, or a more articulate tone with some sparkle? Let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.
