This AB165 amp had already been updated with new electrolytic capacitors and a 3-prong cord. Unfortunately, the amp sounded harsh and shrill due to some minor modifications.
I converted the amp into an AA864/AB165 hybrid and threw in some good US/European NOS preamp tubes.
