I modified this amp by installing a choke, completely changing the power supply scheme, and making some minor preamp/power amp modifications. This included converting the master volume into a "cut" control.
I also replaced the coupling caps in this amp with Mallory PVCs and installed a MOD reverb tank to replace the incorrect (but stock) Accutronics pan. For the tubes, I went with a mixture of RCA/Sylvania preamps, 6π14π outputs, and a Bendix 6106 rectifier.
