I didn't know what to expect when I opened up this amp and was truly amazed to see the beautiful Dave Reeves style wiring inside. The amp originally came with a 6x9" speaker but the owner had managed to cram an old Jensen 10" in it. It uses 2 cathode biased EL84s for the output stage and an interesting preamp design using one 12AX7 and one 6AN8 pentode-triode tube.
I replaced the electrolytic capacitors as well as some very leaky coupling caps and bad tubes. I love how this amp looks inside and out and am pleased to say it has the tone to match.
