The owner had installed the "BillM" mods, after which the amp didn't work. The issue turned out to be a loose connection on the filament pin of the V1 socket - so it was just bad timing and had nothing to do with the recent modifications installed by the owner!
I hate seeing an unused triode, so while I had the amp open I wired the V2 triodes in parallel to give the tone a little more "hair."
