The original output transformer in this amp was disconnected (in 1956?!) and a new one was wired in. I'm not sure why - the old one was perfectly fine!
In addition to removing the "new" output transformer, I replaced the electrolytic capacitors, two leaky ceramic coupling caps, and installed a 3-prong power cord.
