A previous tech had replaced a faulty power switch but didn't wire fan to the new switch. I replaced the switch with the correctly sized model and restored the missing connection.
Like most Mesas with aftermarket tubes, the output stage was extremely overbiased. I warmed up the bias and the amp sounds much better now.
