I got a request to build an attenuator in a rack tray, so I took the opportunity to prototype a reactive design I've been thinking about for a while.
It compares favorably to several other popular attenuators we compared it to at the shop, which is fantastic because this passive circuit is really just a test for the "real" attenuator design: a 4/8/16Ω reactive dummy load with high quality buffered effects loops and a powerful solid state power amp.
