Labor Rate: $15 per quarter hour.
Due to an increase in repair work, I no longer offer free estimates. The rate above applies to assessments, repairs, modifications, bias adjustments - everything. Most problems can be determined in under 15 minutes, at which point I can give you an accurate full repair estimate.
This change in policy is an effort to keep turn-around times low. It is also my intent to keep overall prices as low as possible. I have ditched the minimum 1 hour labor charge. So, for instance, if your amp only takes a half hour to repair (which is common), your labor charge will only be $30.

- Every amp that crosses my bench receives a comprehensive inspection for potential problems, as well as a general tune-up (if necessary).
- Before I return your amplifier, I "burn it in" on the bench AND test it with a guitar.
- Your invoice will include a detailed description of all work performed on the amp, and a record of the bias setting and calculated output power.
- Custom modifications are based on how and where you use your gear as well as your description of the tone you want from it.
- Services rendered by Hunt Amplification are 100% guaranteed for 90 days minimum. If you are not satisfied, you do not pay!
